Rottweiler pups need a new home

The Scottish SPCA is appealing for new homes for three rottweiler puppies that were abandoned in December.

At just six weeks old, the female pups were dumped on a Glasgow doorstep on the South side of the city in freezing conditions.

The pups, named Holly, Ivy and Carol, are being cared for at our Glasgow Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

Centre Assistant Manager Anna O’Donnell said, “There was a lot of interest in the puppies to begin with but since then all three rehoming possibilities have sadly fallen through.

“Their new owners will need experience of keeping large breeds and must have the time required to train a puppy.

“They are now about nine weeks old so the sooner they get new homes the better as they are at a stage where socialisation is very important.

“They’ve already been through a lot in their short lives as they could have died in the freezing cold so they deserve a loving new home for 2011.”

Anyone interested in rehoming any of the puppies should call our animal helpline on 03000 999 999 and ask to be connected to the Glasgow Centre.
